Getting Back Into The Swing of Things

nothing but blue skies ahead
I will admit, I wasn’t totally pumped to come back from vacation. Who ever is? Of course, I missed Caspian, although he was disappointingly calm about our return, and I’m glad to see my friends and family again. Some things I wasn’t so happy to see were: the millions of emails (mostly spam), the wet and wrinkled mail from the time our mailman couldn’t get our storm door open (because it had swollen from the humidity) so they just threw our mail on the front stoop, thanks guys, the big dead bug in the kitchen, the huge pile of laundry we amassed, and my poor, sad bank account.

The great thing about returning from a long trip, however, is the fresh start it affords you. I planned it so there was a brief lull in my work schedule, which let me hit the ground running. This is a prime chance to get more organized for work, and to implement some new ideas I’ve been tossing around for a while, but never had the time to actually do. Hopefully fall will bring some big things!

I agree getting back into the routine can be a little tough, however I do love the fresh start and the inspiration that often comes from mixing it up and getting away. Good luck with the implementation!
