Odds & Ends

2013 creative pay it forward

1. I joined Bloglovin! In case you saw that weirdo post I put up earlier, that was just a link to Bloglovin. I feel really old, because it’s taken me quite a while to figure out what Bloglovin even is, and somehow it’s kind of hard for me to use? But if you know what it’s about, you should follow me  and maybe send me an email explaining how to use it, and gently mocking me for not knowing how to use the internet.

2. I’m doing this on Facebook! I saw it when my friend Amber posted it, and at first I was like oh, too much work, and then I was realized it would be super fun. You should comment, and get something awesome from me. I’m not sure what it will be yet, but it might be knitted, it might be jewelry, it might be a poem I write about Caspian. I’m kidding about the last one, but everyone’s stuff will be different, since I bore easily. If you want to participate, you should consider pinning the image, and doing it there. Mostly because girls who use Pinterest are super crafty, and make awesome stuff.

3. I tried making bone broth with my new slow cooker. It has to cook for at least 24 hours, and I was so excited to have delicious homemade broth full of minerals and nutrients. Even though my apartment smelled strongly of pot roast for all of those 24 hours. You think that’s a good thing but on hour 8 you’re like GOD okay, no more! Unfortunately, I ended up with a sink full of dishes an a measly cup and a half of broth. I haven’t tasted it yet, but I guess I need to rethink my methods.

4. I don’t want to end on a sad, brothy note, so instead I’ll talk about how I got the smitten kitchen cookbook for Christmas, and while I’ve only made 2 recipes out of it so far, I love it. I don’t even like cookbooks really, but this one is gorgeous. Do you have it? What’s your favorite recipe? I’m making the meatloaf and brown butter potatoes this weekend!

This is awesome! I did pay it forward last year and it was a lot of fun. Can I comment on your pay it forward from here? Or do you already have 5? I will repost via Instagram or Pinterest and see if I can get any responses! :)

Yes you can comment from here! :) I don’t discriminate against non-fb users, haha.
