Rabbit, Rabbit

*I still don’t know what that means or why it’s a thing but someone mentions it on twitter every month so….

I have decided that November 1st might just be my favorite day of the year. Here I am, another successful Halloween under my belt (we got invited to a party! I handed out some candy, AND we made it out to see all the drunk people in costumes. I gave them candy, too.) and now I get to be really excited about Thanksgiving, and then Christmas and Hanukkah – but it’s still a little ways off, so it’s just a nice anticipation.

It’s been a week, so I’m just going to end my post here, with a link to the calligrapher who is currently inspiring me, Kelly. She’s lettering something every day for a year, which is way impressive, and I just lost like 20 minutes scrolling through her tumblr, so watch out!

i asked my friend wikipedia what “rabbit, rabbit” meant (because i’m a dummie and had not a clue). he said that it’s a british superstition. on the first day of the month, if “rabbit, rabbit” are the first words you speak, you will have good luck all month long. cute. :-)
